To help you understand this machine better, here’s a guide on how it works.
The Resmed AirSense 11 comes with an inbuilt humidifier and tubing that are meant to help the device offer quality sleep apnea therapy. To use the machine, you need to get a CPAP mask from No Insurance Medical Supplies, the authorized dealer for all sleep therapy devices.
Ensure you wear your mask before turning on the machine. Once the machine is turned on, the device will push pressurized air through the tubing to the mask.
The CPAP mask allows the pressurized air to enter your airways keeping your lungs open when you sleep. As you breathe, the humidifier will add moisture to the dry air keeping your throat and mouth from getting dry.
The Airsense 11 AutoSet device integrates into the ResMed myAir app. The patient engagement app helps to track your therapy progress. You can use the app to check sleep-related data such as your sleep score, sleep apnea occurrences, and breathing data. The app further provides lots of educational resources for obstructive sleep apnea patients.
Although the AirSense 11 has a filter that helps keep the pressurized air free of contaminants, you need to clean it at least once a week. The device cleaning guide can be found on page 15 of the device user guide.
The AirSense 11 is an upgrade of its predecessor, the AirSense 10 Autoset CPAP machine.

Very good at their job
This replaced a Resmed CPAP I bought 20 years ago. The old one still works, but this new one is intuitive and adjusts the pressure while I sleep.
I've been using for almost a month now and feel the Respironics Dreamstaion machine it replaced was a whole lot easier to use: The water tray on this unit is really awkward to fill and you'll be doing it daily, and the unit needs to be turned on with the switch, my Dreamstaion turned on automatically when I started breathing through my mask. I do like the phone ap, however, which is improved from my older machine, which isn't surprising five years later, but I wonder if the newer Dreamstation 2 has a comparable ap? The machine size, now matte black, appears to be more compact and more suitable for travel. I would really recommend you watch all the machine reviews on you tube before selecting a machine as you'll have it for the next five years or more.
It's been a little over a week and I can tell you that I am sleeping so much better! I wake up more focused and energized and even noticed that my blood pressure is lower than ever before 112/76 this morning. According to the myair app I have had near perfect scores this week and only recorded 1.5 events per hour last night down from 15 events per hour the first night of use. As a lifelong mouth breather due to sinus issues I have even noticed that I am breathing from my nose a lot more throughout the day. This machine has been a lifesaver. Nick my salesman was such a great help with his recommendations and getting me everything I needed to start my cpap therapy.
