The BiPAP AVAPS is one their finest noninvasive home ventilators. This ventilator helps clinicians provide better, more compliant solutions to their patients, and it helps patients getting the most efficient and reliable Bi-Level therapy.
The BiPAP AVAPS system is also recommended for therapeutic purposes in the case of children as young as 7, who weigh at least 40 pounds. Simplified patient management, automatic adjustments and improved patient care are only a few of the advantages that speak in favor of opting for the BiPAP AVAPS by Philips Respironics.
BiPAP AVAPS provides maximum comfort for pressure ventilation, and assured tidal volume. Even patients with the most specific and complex therapy requirements will get instantly compliant with the innovative solution provided by the BiPAP AVAPS.
- Custom & comfort tailored humidity levels are ensured by the integrated heated tube technology
- Supports pressures of up to 30cm H2O
- Integrated memory storage for quick access to important patient/therapy related data
- Easy maintenance, accessory compatibility with all Philips Respironics sleep therapy devices
- Advanced “apnea” detection
BiPAP AVAPS and Bi-Flex Technology
Bi-Flex technology for maximum comfort and compliance – offering pressure relief at inhale/exhale in order to make BiPAP therapy even more like natural breathing. With BiFlex, each breath of the patient is tracked and Bi-Flex provides pressure relief at all critical stages of breathing: at the transition from exhale to inhale, at the transition from inhale to exhale and right during the exhalation process.
One of the biggest complaints of patients on Bi-Level therapy is they find it difficult to exhale against a high pressure coming through the mask. Innovative BiFlex technology ensures that pressure is delivered gently at all the three critical stages of breathing.
Other System One BiPAP AVAPS features:
- Integrated Pulse Oxymetry module
- Resistance Control
- DirectView & Encore patient management system
The AVAPS module helps adapting pressure automatically to the changing needs of the patient and to changes in therapy requirements. AVAPS also helps improving ventilation therapy, helping patients to become quickly compliant with therapy. The titration process is also simplified with AVAPS.
The Heated Tube humidification system helps providing optimum air temperature to avoid dryness/ irritation of the airways. This system also provides rainout protection.
The BiPAP AVAPS System One by Philips Respironics is also available without heated humidification system. Philips Respironics features plenty of therapy units in the System One range, and you can find out more about each through SleepRestfully.com
